The end . . and a new beginning
Calvin passed away quietly, comfortably, and peacefully at 8:15 AM this morning, Sunday, April 29 in his bed at the Solace Facility. I was with him the whole time, so he was not alone. His body will be transported to West Family Funeral Home in Weaverville today. Once arrangements have been made for his viewing and funeral, I will update this weblog again.

Donna and Allison,
We are grateful to the Lord that He has seen fit to bring Calvin home to His warm and comfortable embrace. We know that Calvin leaves behind great sadness and tremendous sorrow, but that is a true testament to the wonderful, caring, and honorable man he was.
Know that you are in our thoughts and prayers as you go through this very difficult time.
Dear Donna and Allison, We are thankful that Calvin's homegoing was peaceful and that his suffering is over. Your devoted and compassionate care no doubt eased the burdens of his illness. We pray that the Lord will comfort you, and that you will feel His strength through the love and support of family and friends.
